What is the cost of renting the venue to celebrate a wedding, icebreaker party, after-wedding party or social event?

It will depend largely on the type of event, the number of guests, and the space’s availability for your needs.

If you’re planning a workshop, concert, or a smaller activity that doesn’t require extensive production or setup and takedown planning, we can discuss your budget taking into account the dimensions and logistics of your event.

Ground Floor Esplanade

  • Capacity: 120 people
  • Main entrance via a river stone ramp
  • Ideal for hosting large events or as parking for smaller events

 

Air Terrace

  • Capacity: 60 people
  • Access via steps through a semicircular arch
  • Shaded area under trees and surrounded by vegetation
  • Ideal for ceremonies, smaller receptions, food tastings, brunches, events, and workshops

 

Sun Terrace

  • Capacity: 50 people
  • Consists of two patios, the first located to the east of the venue; with a capacity for 20 people + 30 on the side patio
  • Ideal for a lounge area, ceremonies, culinary events, small events, and workshops

To secure your space and reserve your event date, we suggest booking at least 3 months in advance. Some couples even book up to a year ahead to avoid any risks and ensure their date is secured well in advance.

To confirm your reservation and lock in your event date, you will need to make a deposit, sign our contract and regulations.

Of course, you can reserve the venue with less advance notice, but please keep in mind that availability at El Suspiro is subject to our schedule of cultural activities and other events.

Depending on the characteristics and requirements of your event, some vendors may need to access the venue up to 72 hours before the event. Once your event has concluded, all vendors have up to 24 hours to dismantle, clean, and return their areas in the same condition as when they received them, as stipulated within our regulations.

Our facilities include six guest restrooms at the back of our main ground floor esplanade.

We also have two additional small restrooms located at the top of the property, accessible via the steps leading up to our terrace.

If your event requires it, portable restrooms can be set up in a designated area within the main ground floor space.

Our venue is located in a traditional residential neighbourhood with a strong sense of community; we respect this, which is why we only accept events between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. at the latest.

As part of our responsible practices, we will always be fully respectful of the peace and quiet of the Xochimilco neighbourhood in Oaxaca.

Should you unfortunately have to cancel your event, the following policies, also stipulated in our contract, will apply:

If you notify us of the cancellation between 90 and 61 calendar days before the date of your event, you will incur a penalty of 10% of the total cost agreed upon in our contract.

If you notify us of the cancellation between 60 and 31 calendar days before the date of your event, you will incur a penalty of 25% of the total cost agreed upon in our contract.

If you notify us of the cancellation between 30 and 16 calendar days before the date of your event, you will incur a penalty of 50% of the total cost agreed upon in our contract.

If you cancel between 15 and 0 calendar days before the date of your event, you will be required to pay 100% of the total cost agreed upon in our contract.
